First disclaimer, I'm not coder, by with a little instruction, I can find my way around.
So I learned how to add shortcode to a widget by placing this line in my functions.php file:
add_filter('widget_text', 'do_shortcode');
Then I just took a text widget and inserted this code:
It displays pretty much the way I want it for now, but the issue is in what the shortcode in the sidebar widget is actually Tweeting, Liking, Sharing or +1ing. It seems that it is doing the social sharing of the last blog post, not the Home Page when you are on it. Also, if you are on a general category or an archive, it will not share that specific page, but rather pick one of the posts within it and use that to share. Again, all of this is a sidebar issue, the other buttons within the posts seem to be fine.
How do I fix this? I am using Genesis Framework on the Lifestyle Theme. my site is http://www.workwithmorgan.com if you need to see the plug-in in the widget sidebar.
Look if you use the plugin in the widget area, it should work fine in the single post page. But not in multipost page like in home page or any other page where you have more than one post...
Logically it should not work on multipost page.. I mean how can you share all posts with just one sharing options... You need to have one set of sharing buttons for every post
