If type parameter is include then, then only one button will get displayed which will be decided by the type parameter
Following are the parameters that can be used with type

s4_fbshare – Facebook share button
s4_plusone – Google Plusone button
s4_twitter – Twitter button
s4_linkedin - Linkedin button

is there a way to get more than one button to be displayed, but not all of them.
I'm looking to have twitter, like and plusone only.
can you do multiple type with the shortcode?
Well all you need to do is to use the shortcode thrice. once for each button.
