Topic RSSWell its a Facebook API problem. If you do not have too many likes on post then I would suggest you to change your permalink structure from default wordpress permalink.

well like count is stored taking the permalink as reference. If you change the permalink then that does not mean that the like count will be transferred to your posts new permalink. For the new permalink the like count will again start from zero

Sorry i think ive been misunderstood, actually the like button isn't working at all on my blog and i thought it was due to my custom permalinks, ive tryed to change your iframe code with various other codes i ve found on the web with no success, what am i doing wrong (sorry, i'm a real beginner lol)
for zero counts the count dosen't get displayed. Else your buttons is working fine

Ok i think i know what's wrong, if my post title is too long, it doesn't work (check on my blog, on the last post with the long title, the like button doesn't seem to work !).
I don't know if it's a facebook issue ?
Look for zero count, you will have no count box for facebook like(if you are using the small mode). This how it is. If you click on the like then you will see the like box

well, i don't know, on one of my post, the button doesn't work and i can't figure why, i'll sort it myself i guess, thanks for your patience 😉

This is just the best plugin for sharing on social network.
I just tried changing permalink to default and the "like" button is working, there is something we can do to make it work with the long post name?
Congrats
Dont have to change the permalink to default. you can just change the permalink for the long post names manually when you create a post. or change the permalink structure to custom
/%year%/%postname%/
or just have a look at this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Usi.....Permalinks and have a custom permalink structure of your own

Hi, thanks for reply, i know how to use permalinks, but what im trying to say, is that if i set it to default the "like" button works, if i set permalinks to %postname% stop working and always reset to 0
This is an unusual problem. Actually this should not happen. The like button works fine with permalinks. Actually to say right now I have no answers why this is happening just on your blog. If you are using a cache plugin then i suggest to switch to some other cache plugin like W3 cache. You may also try another facebook like plugin to see if its problem with the blog or the plugin

I have the same problem. I'll go ahead and recap just to make sure.
If a post already has "Likes" then I can like the page with no problem.
If a post is displaying 0 "Likes" then I can not like the page as it resets and refreshes.
I have no caching plugins in place and I'm not using any other Social plugin.
On a different note, where is this plugin pulling the API key from when it connects?
Thanks,
Tommy
OK I think I have found a solution! I replaced my theme and is was still broke, then I removed all my plugins and it was still broke, so I checked the facebook lint page to see if my page was being pulled in correctly. ONCE I went to the lint page and tested my own page the LIKE button worked.
I found another page that was broken, tested to make sure it didn't work then went to the facebook lint page, put in my URL and once the information showed up I tested the LIKE button again and it worked!
Is it possible that until facebook crawls a page that it will not work?
@Tommy - As you can understand that the problem is with Facebook and not this plugin. I too had this problem earlier on my site but it got rectified once I cleared my page cache. But as for your website and many other website has this issue that the like turns back to zero. There is no perfect answer why this is happening. But I have seen it going away after sometime.
