Yes this is possible. Check out the plugin option page. There you will find the option "Don't display on Category". Just put the category ID in that for which you don't want to plugin to get displayed

Fantastic. Could you tell me how to get to the plugin option page? There is not a 'settings' tab in my plugin list, just the option to 'deactivate' and 'edit'.
Login to your dashboard then goto from the left sidebar
Settings > Tweet Like Plusone
