I was wondering if it is possible that I can make the social buttons trackable by Google Analytics. Have you done this? Can you inform me how I could do this if it is possible?
I know I will have to set up events in my analytics account, but how would I need to alter the plugin to allow Google to track the "likes" "+1" and retweets?
Any suggestions or fixes would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
@Fellipe and everyone who wants to track social button clicks. I have a question for you.
Why do you want to track a social button and how can that statistics be helpful to you?
Making the button trackable is bit complicated and may also reduce the performance of your site.

This helps a lot with data in google analytics. We could see what posts are more relevant to readers, how our reach in social networks are growing with time and so.
I have no idea how complex is the code to do that, but, if possible, I would really like. Maybe for next version?
OK I will try to add the support to track through analytics but I need to experiment with it and need to see if it has any effect on the load time of the site.
If it does not affect much then i will definitely add the feature.

I will implement the tracking code to this plugin but only for like and twitter.. Google +1 is added by default. Just wait for the next plugin update
