Hi, thanks for the great plugin!
Only problem I am having is doubled up titles, i've only noticed it on Google Plus, my likes dont go onto my FB wall so cant check there, and Tweets seem ok
I had a look thru the code, but i'm far to rusty to figure out how to fix it lol
for eg....
Free Big Noise Riza Rack (Ableton)
becomes
Free Big Noise Riza Rack (Ableton)Free Big Noise Riza Rack (Ableton)
any tips to fix this? 🙂
I did not understand the problem properly..
Can you please attach a screen shot so that I can understand the "Double title" problem.
Thanks for using the plugin

this is a screenshot of my +1's in google plus....
as you can see, the title has been written twice, i've checked the template and downloaded the title information from various sources, its definitly not a problem with my template, also Twitter and Facebook (just checked) both seem to write the title properly....sumwhere along the line theres an extra title being added to the google+ data
I am looking into the problem.. By the way did you try out some other google +1 plugin? If not then please try out one or two other google +1 plugin. Just remember to deactivate this plugin if you are trying out some other plugin. If those plugin works fine for your site then let me know.

Hi yes I originally had another google+ plugin installed, afraid i cant remeber which one, but it worked fine, the +1's show up correctly for clicks when that one was active, i've deleted it since installing yours
I had a thought, could it be something to do with Yoast WP SEO? I have <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title> set in the header file of the template, I cant really remove that tho as it will mess up SEO, perhaps I can remove something from your plugin? I found a few lines which where related to the title, dont really want to remove anything tho as I dont have the time to debug lol
Can you try any other google +1 plugin? This is just to confirm that its problem with my plugin code. I have gone through the code and did not find any error.
Right now I can not guarantee that any other plugin is conflicting with the google +1 code. I like to find fault with my plugin and rectify it before blaming other plugin for the errors. So please deactivate this plugin and try out another google +1 plugin and let me know if that works fine.

I don't know why this is happening but i dont think that this a problem of this plugin. If you simply post the URL of the article on Google plus then you will see that google is crawling the titles twice.

Viewing the source of my homepage (where I don't use your plugin), I see this code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://connect.facebook.net/en.....js#xfbml=1"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script><script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/con.....s/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://platform.linkedin.com/in.js"></script>
— I assume that's injected from your plugin?
But on a blog page where I actually show some Social buttons, I see this:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js">
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1">
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>
<script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://platform.linkedin.com/in.js"></script>
<meta
property="og:title" content="Mini Sausage Wreath" />
It looks like there is an extra Title OG tag getting pulled in
right after all the social scripts. I'm not sure if something else in my template
would be causing this.
Any thoughts?
the og (open graph) meta tags are only used by facebook. There is no official announcement by Google that it is also taking og meta tags to determine title and keywords. So you can simply ignore the og tags.

i've got the same problem. If i deactivate your plugin, my titles are not double postet on G+, but when activated it is.
Did you try out other social share plugins to share on google ? Are the titles getting doubled with other plugins too?

Are you using some other facebook plugin along with this one which is adding duplicate facebook open graph tags. If so then try check the do not add open graph meta tags from the plugin options. see if that helps.
