This is not an error or a plugin issue. Your site has been marked by Facebook for Like Jacking / Like gating. (Just google like jacking if you don't know about it). So if the site is marked for like jacking then Facebook automatically adds an additional step that asks the user to confirm that they are liking any article/page.

when I test the like button it works but when I try it on my page it extends down in a single column and doesn't show the whole box...why not? and it is a lighter color blue than the share button which works fine
@juli - can you post your site url. What I understand is that the share popup is not showing up properly.
Try this code in custom CSS
.fb_iframe_widget_lift {
max-width: 450px !important;
}
The above CSS should solve the issue and if it doesn’t then please post your site URL, I would like to have a look
