It is possible if you wrap the buttons yourself. I use something like this (for example in single.php:

	if (function_exists('display_social4i')) {
		echo '<footer class="socialbuttons">';
		echo display_social4i("large","float-left");
		echo '</footer>';
		 }

And then in style.css you center footer.socialbuttons (http://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/center)

footer.sociabuttons {

margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;

}
