Hi guys,
I downloaded your plugin, but I'm not sure it's what I need.
I don't want to move my entire blogger blog to wordpress. Instead, I've created a new blog on wordpress and I want to pick and choose some individual posts from my old blogger blog to 301 redirect to the new blog.
Can your plugin do this? Of not, does anyone know how I can redirect some individual posts without moving the whole blog?
Thanks!!
This plugin is not specifically coded to handle what you want to do but it can be achieved with a little work around..
This is what you need to do--
1. Install this plugin on your wordpress blog and activate it. Also install Permalink Finder plugin and activate it.
2. Goto Settings > Blogger 301 redirect on your wordpress blog and check Do not redirect to homepage if page not found (Display 404 error page) (second option) and save settings.
3. on your blogger blog add the below javascript code to individual post that you want to redirect (using html mode) and Update them. Replace YourWordpressDomain.com with your wordpress domain name.
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> window.location.href="http://YourWordpressDomain.com/?br="+window.location.href; </script>
4. All those posts should start getting redirected to your wordpress blog now. You need to manually copy the posts to your wordpress blog and keep the Post titles same. You are also required to install Redirection plugin on your wordpress blog to fix any 404 errors.
I have not tried this myself but I am sure it should work..
< My Domain Names Generator tool crossed 50,000 page views. If you haven't tried yet, then try it out. />
