How to remove News Ticker from Facebook

The Facebook news ticker is a permanent feature and Facebook does not have an option to disable it. But you can remove the ticker on your computer using browser addons to remove it. Below are the addons for Google Chrome users and Mozilla Firefox user.

Google Chrome Users:

Facebook News Ticker Remover – After you install this extension, you will no longer be able to see the Facebook news ticker.  If you want the uninstall this plugin then go to Tools > Extensions   (chrome://settings/extensions) and click the remove button next to the Facebook news ticker remover addon.

Firefox users:

Facebook Ticker Removal – This is very similar to the Facebook news ticker for Chrome. Once you install it the Facebook news ticker will no longer be visible. If you want to remove the addon then goto Tools > Add-ons and press the remove button next to Facebook Ticker Removal addon.
