Hi there,
just tried your plugin on a website using https only, now I get this common error, not everything of the webpage is using ssl, this is not really good, so I tried to hack around in the plugin and changed every http to https, this did it's job to 50%.
Now the picture of twitter and share with facebook are broken, due I have not really knowledge of PHP and WP plugin coding I want to ask you if there is a fix for this or a https compatible version.
Would be really, really great, donation no problem 🙂
look the plugin creates iframes(HTML page within page) to display the buttons. I am using default twitter and facebook api to display the buttons and they do not support ssl.

Well Twitter might support some day then but I dont know about Facebook share. It seems that it has been abandoned and no more development is taking place on that.

Looks like you are online 🙂 just reactivated the plugin,
twitter button fails, function works
facebook like works completly
google works completly
facebook share fails with button and next page sending the share.
All I did was s/http/https/ in the plugin code available via wp-admin.

HTTP and HTTPS are all together two different thing. (In short you can say all together two different servers) Which means if you use HTTPS instead of HTTP then you can say its all together a different site address. HTTPS will work on port 443 and HTTP on port 80 so if the server is not configured to accept connection on port 443 then it will fail as in case with Twitter and Facebook share...

Sorry this is quite bullshit.
I know very well about linux, protocols and stuff, just coding makes no sense in my brain.
But thanks for your effort.

Is there any progress with this? I have the same situation and have had to de-install the plug-in as using https. They all seem to allow https now (google, FB & Twitter) as I have got the api's from each of them and works ok but like the flexability of the plug-in.
Please upgrade to the current version... also report errors if any

Hello, I had the opposite problem. My site is http only and using src="https://..." did trigger warning messages on IE9. I just had to replace all the "https" into "http" and it did the trick (except for the Facebook Like button which is apparently forcing https behind the scene - I just unchecked it from the admin). Any suggestion for the Facebook Like button?

Hi,
plugin works quite nicely on my https enabled site. There is still one hard coded http url in s4twitter button's css "background:url("http://j.mp/clear_png")" (tweet-like-plusone.php line 698). It would be very nice to see this fixed
thanks,
Petteri Larjos
Thanks for reporting. I will upgrade the plugin in a day or two.
