The Pinterest button has worked perfectly, and it still does from a pinning perspective. however, all of a sudden – today the count disappeared and was replaced with a hyphen (-). No changes made to the code or anything else newly installed that can explain it. Is this a general issue?
Hi, i’ve the same problem of hirnverbrandt on my website. Have you any news about it?
On my site Fearless Fat Loss the Pinterest button is displaying but now it is displaying twice, one on top of the other.
You can see it on the home page but also on the articles – here’s an example on one about a weight loss mindset. The duplicated Pinterest button slides down behind the image.
The only thing I changed was that I had to uninstall all plugins completely and then I reinstalled them. I set up the same settings with this plugin that I had before and the Pinterest button was not duplicating itself.
There’s also a problem with the Facebook button but I’ll post that in that thread. Thanks!
Hello, I notice the plugin has been updated – but Pinterest still requires that we add the code for custom buttons.
Can you please let us know how things are progressing as far as having Pinterest being part of the plugin itself?
Thank you so much.

Sorry I wasn’t able to include the pinterest button. For the time being please use the custom button code to display the button. Adding the pinterest to the default list of button will mean no more than me add the custom button code to the plugin instead of you. I am trying to keep as less code as possible so that the plugin works faster even for those who are not using pinterest button (most are not using pinterest button). But definitely I am thinking of adding few more buttons and pinterest is on my list.
< My Domain Names Generator tool crossed 50,000 page views. If you haven't tried yet, then try it out. />
There is a strange problem with Pinterest when I add the code myself. The count shows on the bottom Pinterest button, but not on the top Pinterest button (it remains at zero even if the bottom Pinterest button shows 1K or more!). For all the other buttons (Facebook, etc), the count shows both at the top of the posts and at the bottom of the posts. Why is the Pinterest count only showing in the bottom button? Can you give us some change to the Pinterest code that we are adding to the custom CSS so that the count will show in both places (top and bottom Pinterest buttons)? Thank you very much for your help – this is a very frustrating problem and I hope you can offer a solution.
I have been researching this issue further. It appears that when the Pinterest button appears more than once on a page, the count only shows one time. So in my case, I have buttons above and below the posts, but the Pinterest count only shows at the bottom of the posts. The counter at the top remains at zero.
Is there some way to tweak the Pinterest code to make it show the count for both buttons? I found this code on the internet – is it helpful? Please advise, thank you very much!
