Does anyone have code to add a Pinterest "pin it" button to the plugin?
I've added the pinterest code to the "custom buttons" in the plugin and the button appears, but when I try to use it, it does pull the post link or pictures.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Add the following button codes to the custom button code section from the plugin option
====== Large button code ==============
<a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=%%URL%%&media=%%PIMAGE%%&description=%%DESC%%" class="pin-it-button" count-layout="vertical">Pin It</a>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>
======= Small button code ===========
<a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=%%URL%%&media=%%PIMAGE%%&description=%%DESC%%" class="pin-it-button" count-layout="horizontal">Pin It</a>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>

Thank you, that worked.
I just wish there was a way to pull the image in the post, not just my logo.
For recipes and such it makes a difference.
I will add an option in the next release then you will be able to add the post image.

Would it be possible to have the plugin developer add the Pinterest button to the plugin itself (instead of we users adding it to the custom css and possibly making mistakes)? Maybe that way there would be fewer problems?
Similar to the way the LinkedIn button was added, perhaps the Pinterest button could also be added?
THANK YOU!

Has there been an update on this? I would really like for it to pull images from posts, because otherwise people aren't going to be too happy when they're trying to pin an image from a post and get stuck with my logo.

I was wondering if there was an update to this and if we'll see a pinterest button added to this plugin soon? I would love one! I don't want to change plugins as I am really happy with the way this one looks and functions. Thank you.
Sorry for the long wait.... I have updated the plugin and now you will be able to add image to the pinterest button code

For some reason when I do this my pinterest button works, but the count bubble on the large one doesnt show. Its there, its just set to display:none.
This is inside the iframe that pinterest is in:
"<div id="PinItCount" style="display:none;">"
If I right click where it would be and go to Inspect Element, I can change the display:none to display:block and the count bubble shows up. How do I get Pinterest to stop sending it to me with display:none?
I am aware of the pinterest display:none issue but I cannot help you in this because its a problem with the pinterest itself. I hope they will rectify the error soon.

Hi! I was able to add the Pin It button but how come when the counter doesn't work? I've pinned my posts and the counter says zero. How can I resolve this? Thanks!
@thevirtualassistant - can you please post your site URL. Many people are reporting this problem and I believe that its a problem of Pinterest itself. Still I would like to have a look.

Thank you very much, Sudipto! I used the code and the button appears, I will test it later to see if the counter works; even if it doesn't, you helped me a lot :).
Sincerely, Enrique.

I was looking for this exact thing and the code worked flawlessly. I truly appreciate all the time you put into this fantastic plugin and I'm amazed you find the time to help us here on the forum.

I don't know if it's always been like this but in the latest version of the plugin it doesn't seem to load custom scripts in the box at the bottom for the custom button scripts. Certainly with the pinterest JS script I have to put it in the same box as the button code because if I put it in the script box the button doesn't function correctly.

Hi,
I am also using the Pinterest Button on my blog http://www.hirnverbrandt.de. As of yesterday every entry shows a Pinteresr count of 1, which is kind of strange. Do you know ho I can fix that?
Thanx a lot and Greetz from Germany!
@hirnverbrandt - All the pinterest buttons are showing the same count. I hope that you have copied the pinterest button code properly. Please check the code that you are using once.
