How to close iPhone or iPod apps running in the background

By Sudipto   February 21, 2012

If you are using an iPhone or iPod and if notice that suddenly your device is consuming more battery than normal, then the only reason possible for this is too many apps running in the background.  We are always in a hurry and most of the time we do not close any app that we use on our iPhone. Not only the device uses more power, it also gets slower if too many apps are running in the background.

To use your iPhone efficiently, always close any background app that you left running in the background. Just follow the below simple steps to close any app that is running in the background.

Step 1: Double press the home button to display the multi taskbar. It will display the icons of all the apps that are running in the background. Icons are displayed 4 at a time and you can slide left or right to scroll between icons.

Step 2: Long press any one icon till a red minus sign appears on all icons. To close any app just click this minus sign next to the app icon. After you are done with closing the apps to close the multi taskbar press the home button once.

Always remember to close any background running app. This will help you in having a better user experience with your iPhone.
