Simple method to disable Facebook Timeline

As we all know that Facebook has introduced the timeline feature which gives a new look to your Facebook profile page. The only disadvantage is that once opted for this feature, there is no going back. Many people are complaining that this feature is a bit complicated and they want to go back to the old Facebook profile design. Though Facebook do not allow you to go back to the old design but there are some ways to deactivate that.

Timelineremove.com has come up with extension or addons  that can be installed with Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 8 and above.  With the help of this extension you will be able to easily deactivate the Facebook Timeline and get back the old Facebook profile look.

How to easily enable and disable Facebook timeline with this addon

Firefox users

To enable the Facebook timeline on Firefox all you need is to click the Timeline remove icon in the status bar or top toolbar. Clicking this icon turns it red which mean the Timeline is enabled. Again clicking it toggles it back and the timeline is disabled.

Google Chrome users

By default after installing the addon, the timeline gets disabled to enable it back all you need to do is click the Timeline remove extension icon and click Status: Timeline Remove. To turn is back on click again.

    I downloaded Timeline Remove for IE and got the old wall view back. Would now like to remove wall view and go back to Timeline. Please tell me how I can disable the addon and go back to Timeline view. Thanks.

    I love you! LOL. Now I have my old facebook wall look back, I seriously despised the timeline but after I got it I figured I was stuck with it! Thank You for this and please keep up with the development and upkeep of this valuable extension! Great Work! :) I wonder if facebook has any plans to revert back to the old look or give its users the option of going back or keeping their timeline look?

    Doesn’t work at all with Firefox. Believing that there might be a conflict with another extension, I created a new Firefox profile and only added the timelineremove extension; didn’t work.

        I trust that you did because I don’t think that you would release it to the public without doing that first. I was just wondering if you might have any input from others who have the same problem. I have only encountered one other person on Facebook who had it installed in Firefox, and they said that it did not work for them either. I have tried to find someone who has Firefox, has the extension installed, and it works, but I have not gotten any replies from anyone in that regard. I have found a lot of Google users whom it works for but no Firefox users. I am running v. 11.0 if that makes any difference.

    What about Iphones ?? my mobile goes into it kness when I use my mobile browser with the timeline

    it didnt for chrome also, i install it many times, retry many times but still my profile is timeline.. pls help, i dnt like timeline

      The timeline cannot be disable on your profile. This tutorial only lets you view your profile in the old format. Its just a client side change which means that timeline will remain active when you will FB profile from a different computer

    Hello! Love this extension and use it everyday! Could you please do something about this new news feed look? I hate it and want the previous old style news feed look back!!
