Google removes + (plus symbol operator) in search query

By Sudipto   October 24, 2011

Without any notice or blog post, Google has replace the plus symbol used in search query with quotation marks. Google did not yet notify its users as to why the symbol has been removed. I believe that Google removed the operator because of it new social networking site Google +. So now instead of treating the “+” in search query as an operator, it will be now treated as a word/letter or may be Google is having different plans like the + can be used to find a person on Google+ like +Bill Gates. Whatever may be the reason, the operator which was there from the very start of Google is now replaced with quotation mark[ ” ]

Like if you are earlier using
